Offset Lithography

Offset lithography is a printing process where the image is first transferred onto an intermediate surface before being printed onto the final sheet.

Offset lithography is a widely used printing method where the inked image moves from a plate to a rubber blanket and finally onto the printing surface. In combination with the lithographic process, which relies on the repulsion of oil and water, offset printing uses a flat image carrier. By doing this, the image is reversed twice and ends up appearing the same way as it did in the original design on the stone or plate.
